The Ranking is prepared according to the number of points received by the classification at the European Aquatics competitions of the National teams or European Aquatics Club Competitions.
Points are assigned according to the following criteria:
European Aquatics National Teams competitions
European Championships – Senior 15,000
European Championships – U20 5,000
European Championships – U18 (Junior) 3,000
European Championships – U16 2,000
Note: The number of points is related to the 1st classified National team
European Aquatics Club competitions
Champions League 15,000
Euro Cup 7,500
Challenger Cup 2,000
Note: The number of points is related to the 1st classified Club
The points of the other participating National teams or clubs that are classified under the 1st place are awarded according to descending algorithm which takes into account the number of participants in each competition.
For the Ranking only the last 4 years of competitions are taken into consideration as follows:
– The last two years account for 100% of the points
– The two oldest years account for 50% of the points
Also, the National teams or Clubs which were finished the participation after the qualification round with more qualification groups are awarded with an equal number of points according to the classification in the qualification group.
