Multiple Olympic, world and European medallists Adam Peaty, James Guy and Tom Dean are among 42 Team England swimmers – including 14 para swimmers – selected for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Peaty, who returned to long course swimming this year for the first time since narrowly missing a third consecutive Olympic 100m breaststroke title at Paris 2024, won the first of his four Commonwealth golds when the Games were last held in Glasgow in 2014.
Guy and Dean have won 4x200m freestyle titles at Olympic, world and European level and have already accrued, respectively, 13 and seven Commonwealth medals.
Oliver Morgan, who won his first individual international medal in taking 100m backstroke bronze at last December’s EA Short Course Championships in Lublin, is also named.
The action that will take place at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in July will also feature female medal contenders in the form of 2024 world 400m medley champion Freya Colbert, who is set to face Australia’s Olympic and world champion Mollie O’Callaghan in the 200m freestyle.
Meanwhile Scotland will be looking for medals from Angharad Evans, who became the British woman to go sub 1.05 and sub 2.20 over 100 and 200m breaststroke at the national trials.
The para-swimming selection includes triple Paralympic gold medallist Alice Tai, who won 100m backstroke S9 gold at the 2018 Gold Coast and 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
