As part of the European Aquatics Diving Championships Paris 2026 coaches and diving professionals had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of one of the sport’s most demanding technical elements.
A coaching clinic led by Great Britain’s renowned diving coach Alexei Evangulov addressed the topic of “The Arm Stand Dives – Technique, Methodology and Biomechanics, Developing Exercises. Arm Stand Dives in Competition Programs.”
Around 50 participants gained valuable insights into the biomechanics and technical execution of arm stand dives, as well as practical training methodologies and developmental exercises.
The clinic also examined the role of arm stand dives within modern competition programmes, offering coaches evidence-based approaches to athlete development and performance enhancement.
“I’ve received a lot of verbal positive feedback,” Evangulov told European Aquatics. “I think people liked the content.”
