Para artistic swimming criteria confirmed for European Aquatics Masters Championships 2026

European Aquatics has confirmed the participation criteria for Para Artistic Swimming at the European Aquatics Masters Championships 2026, completing the publication of the Para Aquatics regulations for the event.

Following the earlier release of the participation criteria for para swimming, para open water swimming and para water polo, the publication of the para artistic swimming regulations represents another important step in European Aquatics’ commitment to inclusion and accessibility across all aquatic disciplines.

According to the newly published criteria, para artistic swimming events at the European Aquatics Masters Championships will be conducted in accordance with the existing European Aquatics Masters Artistic Swimming Rules, ensuring consistency, fairness and alignment with established competition standards.

Participation will be open to all athletes with disabilities, with an inclusive model allowing mixed-ability participation across different event categories. Athletes with different functional abilities will be able to compete together, provided entries comply with the general Masters regulations.

European Aquatics highlighted that the initiative aims to promote accessibility, encourage wider participation and support the continued development of inclusive artistic swimming within the Masters environment.
