The European Aquatics Diving Championships Antalya 2025, taking place from May 22 to 28, have attracted a total entry of 104 entrants from 22 countries -including defending champions in 11 of the 13 events.
Germany is fielding the largest team having selected 16 athletes, with Britain, represented by 11 divers, being the next largest, followed by Ukraine, which is bringing 10 athletes.
British divers will be defending four titles. They include two individual champions from last year’s Championships in Belgrade – Robbie Lee in the men’s 10m platform and Desharne Bent-Ashmeil in the women’s 3m springboard champion.
Also selected is Amy Rollinson, with whom Bent-Ashmeil won the last two European 3m springboard synchro titles, and Ben Cutmore, who won mixed 3m springboard synchro gold with Bent-Ashmeil in 2024.
Spain is fielding seven athletes – and defending three titles. Eighteen-year-old Ana Carvajal will seek a second successive women’s 10m platform title. Her team-mates include Carlos Camacho and Valeria Antolino, the mixed 10m platform synchro champions in Belgrade, plus Juan Pablo Cortes, with whom they won the team event.
Austria field two divers -both golden, in the form of Anton Knoll and Dariush Lotfi, last year’s men 10m platform synchro champions.
Poland’s 2024 gold medallist in the men’s 1m springboard, Andrzej Rzeszutek, returns, as does Sweden’s women’s 1m springboard champion Elna Widerstrom and the Ukraine pairing of Kseniia Bailo and Sofiia Lyskun, last year’s women’s 10m platform synchro champions.
The German team includes Timo Barthel, who won the men’s 10m platform at the last stand-alone Championships which took place within the 2023 European Games staged in Poland.
The hosts have selected three divers – the 18-year-old pairing of Simay Arslankan and Sevval Erzincan, who will contest the women’s 3m springboard synchro event, and 19-year-old Sude Koprulu, who is entered for the women’s 1m and 3m springboard events.
The eighth stand-alone edition – and the 43rd overall – will take place at the Gloria Sports Arena, set in one of Turkiye’s most picturesque resorts.
