European Aquatics has begun its centenary celebrations, with new golden branding launched across the organisation’s website and social channels to mark 100 years of the organisation and the European Aquatics Championships.
The milestone was formally announced by European Aquatics President Antonio Silva at a Gala Dinner held at the Pavillon Elysee on the Champs-Elysees in the heart of Paris, during the European Aquatics Championships Paris 2026.
Paris 2026 took place exactly 100 years after the first European Aquatics Championships were staged in Budapest in 1926. In 2027, European Aquatics will mark a century since the federation was formally established at the European Aquatics Championships in Bologna in 1927. The centenary celebrations will continue through to December 2027.
The branding features a gold trim to the header of the website, as well as to the traditional light blue logo of European Aquatics, with the number 100 incorporated into the logo, emphasising the milestone. The social media branding of the organisation has also adopted the new colours.
The new look now in place across europeanaquatics.org and the organisation’s social platforms reflects the milestone, with the branding set to run throughout the Centenary period.
European Aquatics has confirmed that a wide range of activities and initiatives are planned as part of the celebrations, with further details to be announced in due course.
