European Aquatics is delighted to announce the launch of its first-ever para aquatics workshop, a landmark initiative designed to bring the European aquatic community together in support of a stronger, more inclusive future for para swimming.
The workshop marks the culmination of extensive groundwork undertaken since November 2025, when European Aquatics distributed a comprehensive questionnaire to its member federations. The insights gathered through this process have shaped the direction of the workshop and will continue to inform European Aquatics’ approach to para swimming development across the continent.
The inaugural para aquatics workshop will take place on 14 August at 16:15, scheduled immediately following the para swimming training session at the Olympic Aquatics Centre in Paris. This timing has been chosen deliberately to maximise participation, ensuring federation representatives can attend without disruption to their existing commitments and can play an active role in shaping this important initiative from the outset.
At the heart of the workshop is a dynamic roundtable discussion, offering a unique platform for federation representatives to exchange best practices, share experiences, and strengthen collaboration across the European aquatic community. The session will also give European Aquatics the opportunity to present its vision and strategic ambitions for the future of para swimming, setting the stage for continued dialogue and joint progress in the years ahead.
This inaugural workshop represents a landmark moment for para aquatics in Europe. European Aquatics warmly invites all member federations to join this important conversation as we work together to build a stronger, more inclusive future for our sport.
More details on the Para Aquatics Workshop will be shared with member federations in due course.
