European Aquatics is committed to becoming a key stakeholder in the global Aquatics Social Responsibility (ASR) policy by aligning its initiatives with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These 17 global goals, established in 2015 with a target date of 2030, aim to tackle challenges like poverty, inequality, climate change, social justice, and environmental protection. By embracing these objectives, European Aquatics reinforces the role of aquatic sports as a force for positive change, promoting public awareness and encouraging concrete actions within its community and stakeholders to contribute to these global efforts.

In March 2024, European Aquatics announced its Aquatics Social Responsibility Strategy, whose central goal is to make aquatics sports a catalyst for positive change.
