European Aquatics has published the official Information Bulletin for the first edition of the European Aquatics Next Wave Diving Development Camp, set to take place from July 6 to 12, 2026 in Rzeszów.

Organised in cooperation with the European Aquatics Academy and aligned with the organisation’s Development Strategy, the camp aims to support the growth of diving across developing nations in Europe by investing in both young athletes and emerging coaches.

Hosted at the Diving Arena Pływalnia Matuszczaka in Rzeszów, the six-day programme will combine pool and dryland training sessions, education modules and recreational activities under the guidance of world-class diving experts.

The initiative is primarily targeted at countries classified as beginner or medium level in terms of diving development, with European Aquatics expecting up to 50 athletes and 30 coaches to participate in this first edition.

Two athlete age categories have been established for the camp: 10–13 years old and 14–15 years old. In parallel with the athletes’ programme, a dedicated Diving Coaches Clinic will also be organised, focusing on key areas such as age-group training methodologies, technical development, use of equipment, performance monitoring and diving sportsmanship.

The athletes’ programme will include up to two daily training sessions, gym work, educational courses and practical exercises covering compulsory and competitive dives, teamwork and technical preparation. A concluding test competition will summarise the camp activities.

European Aquatics highlighted that athlete safety and education are central to the project, with each delegation required to include at least one coach responsible for supervising minors throughout the camp.

Accommodation will be provided on the campus of the Rzeszów University of Technology, while the venue itself features modern diving facilities including multiple platforms and springboards, dryland training areas, trampolines, gymnastics equipment and recovery spaces.

Registrations and payments will be managed through the European Aquatics Academy platform, with the registration deadline set for 10 June 2026. Only entries submitted by or approved through National Federations will be accepted.

The project represents another important step in European Aquatics’ commitment to supporting education, grassroots development and long-term growth across all aquatic disciplines.
