European Aquatics has published an updated bulletin for the 2026 artistic swimming clinic, confirming key changes ahead of the event at the X-Bionic Sphere in Samorin, Slovakia, from November 6 to 8, 2026.
Following the first bulletin published in July, the second bulletin confirms that the registration deadline has been extended to September 20, 2026, giving members additional time to register through the two-step process via the clinic form and the European Aquatics Academy platform.
The clinic remains a central component of the organisation’s education pathway and reflects the priorities set out in the European Aquatics Strategic Plan 2024–2030, reinforcing the commitment to continuous learning across the artistic swimming community.
The updated bulletin also introduces two new accommodation options at the official venue: triple and quadruple rooms, priced at €350 and €330 per person respectively, alongside the existing single (€490) and double (€390) room packages. Participants who have already registered and wish to switch to one of the new room types are asked to contact European Aquatics directly, subject to availability. Those not requiring official accommodation may attend in person for €195, covering clinic sessions and coffee breaks.
The three-day programme will bring together coaches, officials, athletes, managers and other members of the artistic swimming community from across Europe and beyond. Sessions will cover new TREs coaching and judging, new figures coaching and judging, new acro and pair acro judging, new TC rules and approach, and artistic impression for male solo, alongside a practical pool session.
The programme features contributions from Andrea Fuentes, current head coach of Team Spain and Chair of the Coaches Committee at World Aquatics; Ana Montero and Iva Gricar, both World Aquatics and European Aquatics TASC members; Marie Kavaklioglu, European Aquatics TASC Secretary; and Ulla Lucenius, European Aquatics TASC chair since 2012.
A referee test will again be held on the final day of the clinic, Sunday 8 November. Officials must sit this test at least once every four years to remain on the European Aquatics referee list, and participation in the 2026 clinic is mandatory for officials wishing to be eligible for appointment at European Aquatics Championships in 2027. The clinic will also count toward the educational training required of officials wishing to officiate at European competitions in 2026.
Officials unable to attend in person but wishing to officiate in 2027 must contact the European Aquatics office and the EA Academy, complete an activity report for 2026, and submit it by 1 December 2026, with European Aquatics to determine separately whether additional training requirements can be fulfilled.
European Aquatics can also facilitate transportation between X-Bionic Sphere and the main arrival points in Vienna, Bratislava and Samorin, with rates varying by vehicle type and payable in addition to the accommodation package.
European Aquatics reminds members of the artistic swimming community to complete their registration ahead of the new deadline of 20 September 2026.
